In the small town of Kenansville, North Carolina, there is a charming, little museum known as the Cowan Museum of History and Science. For decades, it sat alongside a bare stretch of turf grass where nothing much happened – that is, until it was transformed into a flourishing garden.
A Museum’s Garden: Secrets, Wonders, and Delights tells the tale of how the Cowan Museum garden came to be and of the subsequent arrival of many strange and wonderful lifeforms. In addition to full-page illustrations and photographs, this book contains a collection of stories about encounters with animals, plant histories, and it even has a fairytale about an enchanted elderberry pie.
