HOURS OF OPERATION:

• We are open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

• On Tuesday, July 22, the museum will be closed for electrical work, but the historical park and garden will be open.

• Preparation for Moth Night begins the week of July 14, 2025, which may affect gallery viewing. 

• The upstairs gallery is closed for renovation. The exhibits will be updated and soon there will be more space for tours and programs!

• The Joann Cowan Brown Botanical Garden is open 24/7. 

• Sensory bags are available upon request.

• Admission is FREE. Donations are appreciated.

TOURS:

• Most of the museum's exhibits are self-guided, but our staff is available to answer questions, talk about the artifacts and geology specimens, and tell stories about the museum. 

• We are happy to conduct guided group tours. If a scheduled tour has more than 20 people, please give our staff at least 24 hours to prepare the galleries.

• Regarding tour cancellations, we kindly ask that organizers of group tours notify the museum of their intent to cancel by 10:00 a.m. the morning of their scheduled tour.

GENERAL:

• Wheelchair access to the first floor galleries of the Kelly-Farrior House is provided.

• The botanical garden trail is made of crushed stone and meets the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design.

• Public restrooms are not available (we have old plumbing that does not allow for too much use). 

• Food and drinks are not allowed inside the main museum building.

• Photography is permitted.

• We are only able to accept cash for donations and we may not be able to make change.
