Since Duplin County first opened the Cowan Museum's doors in 1981, we have been fortunate to be in a community where so many people enjoy supporting the work we do by donating their time, physical objects, and financial contributions. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept
walk-in drop-off donations because we have specific procedures for accessioning artifacts to ensure they are in accordance with our mission and collection focus.

Join us for a variety of events throughout the year which include such things as special programs for kids and families, Earth Day, Moth Night, Halloween and Trick-or-Treat at the Museum, exhibit openings, and workshops.
