Ways to support the Cowan Museum

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept 

 walk-in drop-off donations because we have specific procedures for accessioning artifacts to ensure they are in accordance with our mission and collection focus.

Join us for a variety of events throughout the year which include such things as special programs for kids and families, Earth Day, Moth Night, Halloween and Trick-or-Treat at the Museum, exhibit openings, and workshops. 

If you would like to help our staff, there are a variety of fun and interesting things to do:

• Events: Make decorations, setup and cleanup, take part in overseeing activities, etc.
• Collections: Learn how to clean, document, and store artifacts. Input data in the collections database (PastPerfect).
• Exhibit development and installation.
• Assist with education programs.
• Gardening/watering the gardens.
• Help maintain the historical park.
• Oral histories.
• Research.

Your support helps us continue our important work of educating the public about local history, the natural world, and preserving our planet for future generations.
